- Do not Panic.
- Try and remember what you did in the past couple days or so, when you got your account frozen. It usually helps if you can trace back to possible source of the reason that Neopets frozen your account. Scroll down this page later on to see look at some types of actions that may cause your account to be frozen.
- Next, go to http://www.neopets.com/autoform_other.phtml?other=frozen, and provide them as much information as you can. It has to be a persuasive in order for them to unfreeze your account. The type of information that you should provide, is the name of your account, the possible reason that you think it may have been frozen (if you don't know, then it's ok), information on what you've been doing before your account was frozen, and any other information that you think may help them come to an understanding. Also, make sure you are using the same email account to message them, as the email address that you put on your Neopet account. It's recommended because that way they know for sure that the account belongs to you, and that you're emailing them about it. Here is a good tip; don't email them more than once! They probably received your email and in process of looking it over. They only need one email from you, and not multiple emails or emails from friends. However, there is no punishment to emailing them multiple times unless they feel like you're flooding them emails, which they will just simply delete all your emails and block you. So, just email them once, and be patient.
- Then you just wait for a response from Neopets support team relating to your account. They will likely email you back in a month or less depending on how busy they are. If they decide to unfreeze your account, then they will email you back with the account's name and new password that they set. It does usually take quite awhile before they respond back to via email; so don't assume that they are ignoring you or anything. They receive multiple emails everyday and it's hard for them to respond to every one of them. They will only email back to the owner of the account, meaning you better check the email address that you gave to Neopets when you first signed up.
- If you do get your account unfrozen, then just use the password that they gave you to get into it, and check to make sure nothing is missing. It is highly recommended that you change the password right away, so that knows one may attempt to break into your account. If you find something missing that was there before your account was frozen, like neopoints and stuff. Then you'll probably not get them back, because Neopets has a rule against refunding neopoints or items. If you have problems like missing trophies, your shop got smaller, or anything like that, then email Neopets at support@neopets.com. They will likely fix the problem soon or later.
Neopet will probably not explain the reason for freezing your account, and assumes that you should know why for yourself. So, don't expect a justification to what they do, because you're playing their games for free and they have unlimited power. If you don't get a response after a month or so, then you can expect that Neopets is either busy or your account will remain frozen. So, make a new account and start all over....

There are many ways for which your account can be frozen or removed from NeoPets. Here is a list of what not to do:

Your Shop - Do not post contests, banners that advertise a company, false statements, pictures that people should not see (porn), and bad words (you know what we mean). Basically no scams in your shop or unsuitable things for little kids. They are quick to react to shops that abuse the regulations that they set out because anyone can report someone's shop if they think it violates the rules set out by Neopet.com.

Scammer - Don't become one of these people. Also, it is considered a scam if you try to sell your NeoPet because there is no real way of transferring your NeoPet other than the pound. The pound is unreliable, and Neopets will disable your account if you do try to sell your NeoPet! Don't sell any thing that is not transferable through the trade post or selling of information.

Chat boards - No spamming but you really can't anyways because they have a trigger set. Also, no cuss words of any kind, keep it clean and they have plenty of people monitoring each and every chat board.

Games - Don't try and cheat in games by any means, like through the use of programs. NeoPet.com has a way of figuring out if you are trying to cheat. Also, there is no way of cheating so don't try!

Multiple Accounts - Sure, you may have multiple accounts but they can only be used as storage. Only one of your accounts should be used to play games, get trophies, and much more. All other accounts should be used to transfer items or neopoints into and nothing else! The only need for you to make multiple accounts is to create a gallery in your shop like most people do and that's all. If you even play one single game using multiple accounts then you can expect yourself to get frozen unless you can some how apologize to them or something before you get frozen. If you played a game by accident then report yourself or someone else might. There can only be a maximum of 4 accounts total or your accounts will be frozen. If you have a big family or more than one family member using separate accounts then you should have different email addresses when you first sign up and you should probably not share items with one another or anything. Neopets may think that you are using two or more accounts to benefit yourself. So, be careful when having multiple accounts! Swearing - The use off cuss or swearing words should not be used any where. Also, there shouldn't be any attempts to try to use swearing words by using symbols to replace the letters or any other ways. The Neopet bot automatically scan every location, especially chat boards for swearing of any sort and send you a warning. If you even say someone's name that has a swear word or resembling a swear word, then the Neopet bot will send you a warning via neomail. We know it's unfair but their bot is sensitive to things like this, so try and avoid it.

Chain Letters - This is similar to spamming, but you try to spread a rumor saying like, "Send this neomail to 10 other people and you will get a RARE item" or "Write this on the message board to earn 10,000nps." Well, you get the idea, and Neopets does not allow this to continue due to the cluttering of their server.

Sharing Accounts - We have stated before that multiple accounts is allowed under certain conditions. However, Neopets is starting to dislike the idea that people are sharing accounts with family members. This can be seen as a scam to just to be able to enter into their contests more than once by using multiple accounts. So, it is hard to determine if people are sharing accounts to benefit themselves or need to do it because they have a big family or something. So, please avoid sharing an account with anyone and especially people you have just met. |
